Activities 2010

In 2010, the Luxembourg Space Cluster continued its activities to raise awareness and position either companies active in the space sector and enterprises wishing to collaborate with companies and organisations in the space field...

During 2010, Luxinnovation’s activities for the Space Cluster can be resumed as follows:

Presentation of public research activities in the space field at the Forum “Business meets Research”
Presentation of FP7 themes linked to research in the space field during the FP7 Week
Organisation of a workshop on ESA’s scientific programme with the aim of further involving Luxembourg actors in this programme (the workshop was preceded by a public conference on the same topic at the University of Luxembourg)
Co-organisation (with the ICT Cluster) of a workshop on the future monitoring of transports of dangerous goods, involving numerous companies, public research centres, road safety organisations and emergency services
Organisation of the first Space Industry Day Germany-Luxembourg with around 30 bilateral meetings aiming to identify collaboration opportunities

In 2010, Luxinnovation disseminated 16 technology offers and requests to actors in the space sector with 1 expression of interest .

In addition, Luxinnovation participated on behalf of the Luxembourg Space Cluster at several European events, including the Toulouse Space Show, the conference “A New Space Policy for Europe”, the “Séminaire Perpectives Spatiales” and the “FP8 Space Hearing”.
