The Research and Technology Centre of the European Space Agency (ESA-ESTEC) is pleased to announce the Course on Antennas for Space Applications, organized by the European School of Antennas. The course will take place at ESTEC (Noordwijk, The Netherlands) from 12 to 16 March 2012.  
The aim of the course is to give an overview of design approaches, constraints and technical solutions for Space Antennas addressing both theoretical and technological issues. The course will focus on main space applications such as telecommunication, earth observation and science, but will also address other uses of antennas for space, such as navigation, data transmission antennas. The lectures will cover radiofrequency, mechanical and thermal design, material technology and test aspects, ending with a visit to ESTEC satellite and antenna test facilities.

The deadline for the registration is March 1, 2012.
A limited number of grants provided by different European Actions are offered to PhD students to waive the registration fees.  To apply for a grant, please follow the instructions in the website.
The deadline for grant requests is February 27, 2012.
All participants are invited to register as soon as possible considering that the course can host no more than 35 attendees and acceptance will be according a "first come first served" basis: the official registration form is available on the ESA Conference web site.
